Bella Sue Martin has lived and worked in Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico for nearly 30 years. She is the only artist who created, showed and sold both handwoven clothing and fused dichroic glass throughout Santa Fe’s historic Plaza. In her most recent show at the Smithsonian Institution’s Renwick Gallery exhibition, “American Crafts: The Nation’s Collection,” she was the only clothing weaver chosen to exhibit. Work displayed at the American Craft Museum in New York City in the 1990s included her fused dichroic glass artwork, jewelry, and handwoven clothing and accessories.
